Q.1 Why did you start training and did you have any goals of competing to begin with?

 

I STARTED TRAINING TO TRY AND GAIN SOME WEIGHT,AS I WAS LIGHT AND MUSCULAR. FROM DAY ONE OF ENTERING THE GYM I WANTED TO BE GOOD ENOUGH TO STAND ON STAGE AND BE COMPETITIVE.

 

Q.2 Were you into sport growing up? If so which ones?

I PLAYED A LOT OF FOOTBALL AND WAS GOOD AT ATHLETICS.

 

Q.3 What is your current training schedule like? How does it differ between pre-contest and off season? Do you do much cardio work?

I TRAIN EACH BODYPART ONCE A WEEK,SOMETIMES HEAVY,SOMETIMES VOLUME,DEPENDING ON HOW I FEEL. MY TRAINING SCHEDULE DOSENT CHANGE MUCH PRE-CONTEST. I ONLY DO CARDIO PRE-CONTEST. MY CARDIO STARTS EIGHT TO TEN WEEKS OUT AND IS ADJUSTED ACCORDINGLY.

 

Q.4 How long have you been competing?

34 YEARS.

 

Q.5 What are your main competitive achievements?

NABBA JUNIOR MR. SCOTLAND, NABBA JUNIOR MR. BRITAIN 1984, THREE TIMES NABBA MR. WEST BRITAIN. TWICE NABBA BRITAIN FINALS AND TWICE EFBB BRITAIN FINALS. 2015 UKBFF SOUTH COAST OVER 50,S WINNER WITH AN INVITE TO THE IFBB EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIPS.

 

Q.6 Who are your main sources of inspiration in your training and whose physiques do you most admire?

DORIAN YATES AND FORMER TRAINING PARTNER EAMONN MCGAULEY NABBA MR. BRITAIN 1993.I ADMIRE THE PHYSIQUES OF FRANK ZANE,BERRY DE MEY.

 

Q.7 What are your current competitive goals?

TO BE COMPETITIVE AT THE IFBB EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIPS IN MAY 2015.

 

Q.8 Why do you feel you have been able to make continuous gains over the years?

I TRY AND TRAIN INSTINCTIVELY AND LISTEN TO MY BODY.

I RELY HEAVILY ON MY SUPPLEMENTS FOR GROWTH AND RECOVERY DUE TO NOT BEING A BIG EATER.

 

Q.11 What is it that motivates you through a hard session?

KNOWING THAT EVERY SET AND REP TAKES ME A STEP CLOSER TO MY GOALS WITH THE THOUGHT OF BEING HANDED A FIRST PLACE TROPHY.
