Been training in fitness/ bodybuilding since 1997 with
training partner
hippy (Stephen Stewart) trained at gym called McShanes
until it got blew
up, then moved to phoenix gym (Andy McIvor) where I
currently train when I
can in between looking after the two children (Ashtyn
7 and Drew 3).
I train 4 times a week, shoulders and tri’s,
back, legs, bicep and chest I do
abs most evenings. I’m no longer doing fitness
due to a back injury (prolapsed disc) but hope to take
a year out and come back to do class 2 figure and win
lol!
I’m doing toned figure as a stepping stone to
the Trained Figure this year (2006).
I am also a qualified NABBA judge, having shadowed
quite a few before moving
into the bigger comps... this year I am helping run
the fitness event at the
NABBA Worlds and judging the fitness too.
I have been a professional dancer for 20 years and
just recently retired I
was a cage dancer on the club circuits in north and
South Ireland , but
have backing danced for many famous stars including
Tina Arena , Natalie
Imbruglia on ITV and worked along side the likes of
Rod Hull and Emu the
Stiltskin, etc... I have done a lot of TV work here
at home including shows
and documentaries. I was also first girl to fight on
Sky television and have fought a lad too, and I won!!!!
I bring a bit of life and fun in all the shows especially
back stage, never
being too serious or stressed, I'm a bit brain dead
and your typical blonde
at times but I'm also cheeky, feisty, funny, and a bit
of a twit but sure,
doesn’t someone have to be?

Q: As a professional dancer what interesting
things have you done?
A: I have danced for Elizabeth Taylor at her black and
gold birthday party in Marbella in Spain.

To be honest the list goes on and on a bit but that’s
the main ones!
Q: What sort of training do you follow i.e. high
or low rep to failure etc…talk about your
training a bit
A: I do a 4 day split:
Monday chest and bi’s
Tues legs
Wed off
Thur shoulders and tri’s
Fri back
Sat bits and bobs
I do abs every night except on Tues and Wed. I do my glutes
3 times a week at home. Pre comp I do gymnastics training
4 times a week for 3 hours every day time normally from
12 to 3.…
I do 2 x 12 -15 reps
Then 2 x heavy 8-10 reps

Q: What supplements do you take?
A: I take:

Q: You have competed nearly every month in a show how
do you feel and what are your feelings about this?
A: I
have not had time to be off season at all, I am finding
it tough now because I am near the end of the year. I have
worked very hard and amongst all the problems and issues
I have had to address this year I am feeling tired now,
but have got to hold on until I do the W.A.B.B.A. Worlds
in India …I can’t stop now since I seem to
be on a roll. I will be glad to see Christmas. This will
be my ninth comp this year!
Q: What are your goals and ambitions?
A:
My goal is to be the best I possibly can and my ambition
is to reach the Olympia stage…wow would I love that?
My idol is Kelly Ryan…that woman is fab if I could
do routines like her I would be really flying….flying
Ryan she gets called, damn she is goooooood.
Q: Do you have a nutritionist or because you train by
yourself do you look after yourself?
A: I am part of ‘GB Fitness’, and as such
Cain Leathem takes care of all my nutrition and he also
looks after my training program… he updates it as
I need etc… and I always go to Cain pre comp… because
I live in Northern Ireland I send him pictures of my training
progress and he chops and changes things as he feels I
need. He is very supportive and to be honest I am very
grateful for his help.. I am hard work, lol! To be trueful
I think I stress him loads ha ha ha
