I have a twin sister
1. How long have you been training?
I’ve been training all my life with numerous
sports Football Rugby was
quite a good gymnast as well. But weight training
maybe 5 years and
serious bodybuilding maybe 2.
2. Why did you start?
Arnold Schwarzenegger movies. He totally inspired
me from such a young age
I just liked muscles and I was a skinny kid (where
I got the name mushy)i
thought they were cool and I should get myself a set of arms like his.
3. When did you first compete?
I first competed at the BNBF Scottish Qualifier on the 28th of may 2006
4. How often have you competed and how did you get on?
Twice.
I came first in the Scottish qualifier and managed
second place at the
overall British finals in October.
5. What do you find most satisfying about putting yourself through
everything you need to do to stand onstage?
That has to be the way i look. Seeing the fat literally
disappear is pretty
cool. Knowing that theirs not going to be anyone
up there who can touch me for
condition if i stick to this diet. Knowing as well
that what im doing is
something that not many people could do.
6. What are your competitive ambitions
Firstly to retain my Scottish title and then win
the British title I want
that bad. Then a few years down the line I hope to
be able to stand on
stage as a genuine contender for the Overall British and win.
9. What is your diet like just now? How have you changed it over the past
months?
Right now I am on a High carb High protein moderate
amount of Fat diet with e
intentions of bulking up. Previous diets I have concentrated
on low fat
medium carbs and high protein to try and stay relatively
lean and avoid
putting on fat instead of muscle.
10. What is your training like just now? How have you changed it over
the
past months?
Right now my training involves a lot of heavy lifts
with low reps 3 - 6 .
With the aim of adding thickness to my physique.
This is compared to
previous months that have focused on strict form
and a lot higher reps of
8 - 12.
