Q.1 Why did you start training and did you have any goals of competing to begin with?  Have 3 children.  Started going to the gym to tone up.  Loved it so decided to qualify as a gym & aerobics instructor.  Competing was the last thing I thought of.  Steve (now my husband) took me to a competition and convinced me I could get up on stage.


Q.2 What is your current training schedule like? How does it differ between pre-contest and off season? Do you do much cardio work?
Had some time off over the Christmas.  New year training will be 4 days a week and about 30 mins cardio each session.  When I'm training for competition I train 5 or 6 days a week and cardio every day between 30-45 mins.

3 1/2 years
 
Q.4 What are your main competitive achievements?
2008 - 1st NABBA Miss Britain Toned Figure
2007 - 2nd UKBFF - South East - Body Fitness
2006 - 5th NPA - British Finals - Miss Figure
2006 - 2nd WABBA Body Beautiful Spectacular
2005 - 3rd EFBB South East

Q.6 Who was your inspiration when you started training?
My husband - Big Steve. When I 1st met him, he hadn't competed for 9 years.  He started competing again and  I was inspired by his dedication to hard training and diet.

 
Q.7 What are your current competitive goals?
To win the British again.
 

Q.8 Why do you feel you have been able to make continuous gains over the years?
Mostly due to my husband.  He supports me in everything, kicks my butt in the gym and arranges my diet.  His a real perfectionist, so I owe everything to him.   Its so important to have the support of your partner when competing.

Extreme Whey
Guarana tablets for fat burning
Lean R when competing
Amino acids

 
Q.10 How much do you feel supplements and sports nutrition help your training?
Protein is absolutely essential.  I have difficulty eating a lot of it, so really depend on the shakes.
 
Q.11 What is it that motivates you through a hard session?
I imagine how I would like to look and try to keep the picture in my head.  Oh, and Steve kicking my butt.
